Welcome!

Camryn is actively pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Grenfell Campus at the Memorial University of Newfoundland in Elmastukwek (Corner Brook), Newfoundland, with a primary focus in printmaking and sculpture.
Artist Statement
Art has always been an exploration of identity and the world around me, in the same way that a toddler feels the need to put everything in their mouth to understand. In order to fully grasp my own emotions and my environment, I create. Sharing my art has become a way for me to showcase moments of vulnerability, something I believe is hard to find in this day and age, and that I think is important as we learn how to communicate when our world is changing so rapidly. I’m deeply inspired by the sciences, especially astronomy and geology, and how scientific research interacts with the artistic community, and by extension the world. I focus mainly on inviting the audience into my art, and engaging either intellectually or physically, and establishing an open door with the community around me. My art is just as much about the people viewing it and how I can connect with them, as it is about the material and techniques I use.
